This scene is from the concert hall inside Hospital No. 126. A broken piano lies on its side, surrounded by rubble and collapsed plaster. The strings are rusted, the frame cracked open. Behind it, fragments of a Soviet relief still cling to the wall, showing stylised figures once meant to inspire.

It was an unusual discovery inside a hospital, but many public buildings in Pripyat included cultural spaces like this. Even in a place focused on medicine, music and ideology had their place.
