This decaying room is part of the former command centre near the Duga radar system, a once-secret Soviet over-the-horizon missile detection array hidden in the forests outside Pripyat.
Faded Cyrillic slogans still cling to the walls, alongside a cracked signboard quoting Soviet military law. The block of text, titled FROM THE LAW, outlines consequences for failing to follow duty protocols, with language that is strict and unforgiving, reinforcing the strict discipline expected of those stationed here.
To the right, a stylised hammer and sickle sits prominently on a panel, surrounded by bold, geometric Soviet iconography. Rows of rusting theatre-style chairs face the space where officials likely gave briefings or delivered warnings.
Though the equipment is gone and the structure is crumbling, the ideology remains embedded in the walls, heavy with the tone of control and consequence.

- The frame profile will be approx 40mm wide by 30mm deep.
- Off-white textured acid free mount.
- 2mm clear standard picture glass (UV protected 66%) Low reflection option available.

- 2mm Kraftboard back.
- Fixings are included for hanging.
Delivery
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Unframed works will be sent in a tube via a signed delivery service.
- Framed works will be safely packaged, crated and insured and will then be delivered via a courier or international shipper.
