This piece was hand printed and went through several stages of decay and is quite a textured piece.
My series Corrodium in 2017 - 2019 was an exciting departure for me - I was experimenting with hand printing my photography of abandoned buildings onto a variety of materials.
It's a slow, unpredictable and often unrewarding mistress! But when it works it makes my heart sing and takes me closer to the locations I have been addicted to capturing for over a decade. I want to bring this to the viewer, to take them closer to the exceptional places I find myself in.
