The history of this location dates back to the 16th century, when a rich Italian family constructed their summer home. Over the centuries, the villa changed ownership, and it was restored and enlarged several times, until it was occupied by Napoleon.
Because of its location and because of its beauty the locals nicknamed it Beautiful Mountain. In the mid 19th century, the mayor decided to transfer patients from one asylum to this villa. It came to hold up to 3000 patients which merited the label of a "giant" asylum. A law in 1978 then imposed the closure of all mental hospitals in Italy.

Framing
- Your artwork will then be framed to conservation standard
- The frame profile will be approx 40mm wide by 30mm deep.
- Off-white textured acid free mount.
- 2mm clear standard picture glass (UV protected 66%) Low reflection option available.
- Mounted onto acid free backing board.
- 2mm Kraftboard back.
- Fixings are included for hanging.
Delivery
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Unframed works will be sent in a tube via a signed delivery service.
- Framed works will be safely packaged, crated and insured and will then be delivered via a courier or international shipper.
