Photographed in Los Angeles in 2022 using 35mm experimental film which has been pre-soaked in different chemicals and organic material which decays the film. The unexposed film is then dried before loading to be exposed in my Nikon F100 film camera.
The Hollywood Sign was originally erected in 1923 as part of a real estate marketing campaign for a luxury housing development called "Hollywoodland." Initially, the sign's purpose was to advertise the sale of homes in the Hollywood Hills, with the full name "Hollywoodland" displayed. Over time, the "land" was removed, and the sign became a symbol not for real estate but for the global entertainment industry, eventually becoming the iconic landmark we know today.
