This was a beautiful sanatorium (also used as a military hospital) that closed in the 70's, but despite being empty for that long there was remarkably little decay. I photographed this at golden hour and had little time to photograph the whole building. This was one room in which I felt would produce a definite work, the way the wallpaper draped down and the light oozing through the back window. The sanatorium featured hydrotherapy baths, a huge banquet hall and beautiful art nouveau architecture.
