Awarded Grade II listing status in 1980, Battersea Power Station is of significant importance in London. It started producing electricity in 1935 and at it's peak, produced a fifth of London's power. I visited in 2013 to photograph Battersea just as the groundwork for renovation was beginning. It was incredible to be in this central boiler house - the space is so huge that St. Pauls Cathedral could fit within the space!!
