Nearing the end of my 2023 trip to Italy, my husband and I attempted this place for the second time and we were so pleased to get in undetected. You see, it's a really easy one, but only if the guy who's decided to squat it, isn't in for the day.
We got in and luckily I decided to shoot everything fairly quickly and efficiently, just in case. 1 lens at a time - Wide angle, 15mm and 24mm shift. And I'm glad I shot many angles of this room as I could, as probably 10 minutes into our time there I heard a car pulled up outside and open a gate. I was rather miffed but rather not chance getting caught, so we slipped out the back sharpish and got away undetected! Phew!
I've recently heard it's been taken on for redevelopment now which is always good news. It will be absolutely stunning restored.
It's been abandoned for almost 50 years - It's a small but eye-catching villa with an impressive double staircase to this hallway, with frescoes floor to ceiling on a stunning blue background depicting ancient Tuscan villages. I loved the wrought iron and parrot motifs too. It was like entering a vintage pergola aviary. What a wonderful sight!

Printing
- Your print is produced in-house at Gina Soden’s studio. The quality of your artwork is important, once printed Gina Soden personally checks each artwork individually.
- Prints are produced using Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325gsm Giclee, a premium quality paper, which is perfect for Gina Soden’s brightly coloured and textured images. This archival paper sets the benchmark for high colour depth and image definition.
Framing
- Your artwork will then be framed to conservation standard
- The frame profile will be approx 40mm wide by 30mm deep.
- Off-white textured acid free mount.
- 2mm clear standard picture glass (UV protected 66%) Low reflection option available.
- Mounted onto acid free backing board.
- 2mm Kraftboard back.
- Fixings are included for hanging.
Delivery
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Unframed works will be sent in a tube via a signed delivery service.
- Framed works will be safely packaged, crated and insured and will then be delivered via a courier or international shipper.
