This piece was born from my visit to an incredible abandoned factory after an art residency at Villa Lena in Tuscany. With fresh inspiration and new materials from the residency, I embarked on a journey of experimentation that led me to this new direction.
The work captures the essence of texture and narrative, blending scraps of paper, fading fabric, and dust from the factory floor. These elements merge with a photograph I took on the factory floor. There were big windows, cupboards and storage areas and photos which I wove into the scene.
