The moment I stepped into this room, the floor disappeared beneath a sea of paper. Torn textbooks, notebooks, lesson plans, and children’s drawings are scattered all across the ground, layered so densely they’ve become the floor itself. I called it “Paperback Parquet.”
This is one of the side rooms in Pripyat Middle School No. 3, located on Sportinaya Street. It is one of five secondary schools in the city.
Peeling green paint clings to the walls in brittle flakes, while light from the window at the far end glows over the chaos of open books and crumpled pages. Forgotten lessons, colourful illustrations, and the marks of everyday school life now lie underfoot, slowly turning to dust. This work is in the permanent collection of Soho House and is in the entrance to Soho House Greek Street in Soho.

Printing
- Your print is produced in-house at Gina Soden’s studio. The quality of your artwork is important, once printed Gina Soden personally checks each artwork individually.
- Prints are produced using Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325gsm Giclee, a premium quality paper, which is perfect for Gina Soden’s brightly coloured and textured images. This archival paper sets the benchmark for high colour depth and image definition.
Framing
- Your artwork will then be framed to conservation standard
- The frame profile will be approx 40mm wide by 30mm deep.
- Off-white textured acid free mount.
- 2mm clear standard picture glass (UV protected 66%) Low reflection option available.
- Mounted onto acid free backing board.
- 2mm Kraftboard back.
- Fixings are included for hanging.
Delivery
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Unframed works will be sent in a tube via a signed delivery service.
- Framed works will be safely packaged, crated and insured and will then be delivered via a courier or international shipper.
