This monumental castle in the middle of the woods/park was commissioned by a Duchess in the 18th century. It features this beautiful staircase built in a neoclassical style.
It was originally an old hunting lodge, and the duchess instructed that the building was to be converted into her summer neoclassical style residence. This was just one area of the building. It also featured a long colonnade with a central building with a clock and bell tower, which housed the court theatre. The Duchess also commissioned a gardener to implant an elegant English garden.
The park, thanks to an agreement with the owners, is available to the public, while the interior of the villa is not open, so because I knew there might be a lot of people in the park the next morning the night before taking the photograph, I slept in the woods in a tent nearby and rose early to get inside the castle.

Printing

- Prints are produced using Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325gsm Giclee, a premium quality paper, which is perfect for Gina Soden’s brightly coloured and textured images. This archival paper sets the benchmark for high colour depth and image definition.
Framing
- Your artwork will then be framed to conservation standard
- The frame profile will be approx 40mm wide by 30mm deep.
- Off-white textured acid free mount.
- 2mm clear standard picture glass (UV protected 66%) Low reflection option available.
- Mounted onto acid free backing board.
- 2mm Kraftboard back.
- Fixings are included for hanging.
Delivery
- Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Unframed works will be sent in a tube via a signed delivery service.
- Framed works will be safely packaged, crated and insured and will then be delivered via a courier or international shipper.
