This piece was born from my visit to an incredible abandoned palace after an art residency at Villa Lena in Tuscany. With fresh inspiration and new materials from the residency, I embarked on a journey of experimentation that led me to this new direction.
The work captures the essence of texture and narrative, blending scraps of paper, handkerchiefs, negatives and wallpaper from the palace. These elements merge with a photograph I took in a grand frescoed hallway. The result is a piece that weaves stories and textures into the fabric of my creative vision.
