It was built to serve the Protestant community. Another Catholic church was already there and still is, less than 400m away, but after the war the protestant community were driven out.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA neo-gothic tower was added in the later 1800's. It is built in a rare elliptical shape. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere is still a dispute on who built it to this day.. but one of the candidates was world-renowned, and he built a famous monument in Germany.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMany of it's features have been used in the local community for building materials, such as the pews, chandelier, flooring, altar and organ. Yet it still remains as a beautiful building with quite unique architecture, even if quite skeletal in form.
